Review 9/8/2011

This company is a scam. The reviews prior to mine contain 2 that give it max stars. Probably not real homeowners who have used the service. Jennifer Yvonne Williams, an attorney practicing in California, is violating CA law by taking up front payments, promising loan modifications and then never delivering. On the WLC web site from July 2011, there are 3 locations listed: 756 S Broadway, Suite 1113, LA (now seemingly closed), 155 Granada, Suite L, Camarillo, and 333 S Grand Ave, 25th floor, LA. That's in addition to the one called Williams Law Center, 3140 Redhill Ave, Suite 225, Costa Mesa. The phones I have checked are either never answered or they are answered by a machine in Spanish or by a totally different company. The phone numbers on their own web site do not take you to WLC.
Check the company out before you do any business with them. Better yet, ask your lender, who provides modification services for free, or a local non-profit working on housing issues like mortgage loan modifications, which also provides the service for free.
Update 11/3/11 The company can also be found as National Mortgage Help Center and the address on Broadway in LA zip:90014 is still in operation. My client was told to send a check made payable to Williams Litigation Center at that address. However, the company by whatever name is in violation of California Law: The law prohibits anyone in California including an attorney from taking money before doing any loan modification (or related) work. California citations for the law referred to as SB 94 signed by Gov. Schwartzenegger October 11, 2009. The law went into effect upon signing by the governor. section 10085.6 of the California Business and Professions Code section 2944.7 of the California Civil Code Since they are knowingly breaking the law, would you really want to do business with them.
