WISH THERE WAS A WORSE RATING THAN ONE STAR, they don't deserve even one star!!!!! No one should ever go to the Western Dental of Merced, CA. They are unorganized and rude. 3 of us had ortho appointments at 11:00am followed by dental cleanings. We did not leave until 3:45pm. Everyone was going in before us even though their appointments were after all 3 of us. When we were called, I was not allowed to go with my children to see what they would be doing to them or to observe any of their treatment. When I got X-rays, the techs did not make any contact with me. They just told me what to do. After the x-rays, I was bombarded with 3 sets of paperwork...which I still don't know what they were for since they were shoving it into my face and telling me to sign. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE MANNERS at all!!!! The dentist told me my son needed 2 root canals on his baby molars and he had 3 other cavaties!!!! I am sorry, but I told her the teeth would be falling off and he did not need that trauma. She became upset and tried to make me feel like a crappy parent. I told her that my son had an exam earlier this year with another dentist and that dentist stated they would fall off and nothing needed to be done; furthermore, he had no cavities. WESTERN DENTAL are INEPT!!! I waited about 1 hour before I was actually seen after my x-rays. My daughter waited longer. Oh, and as for their cleaning, what cleaning...it was a 5 minute cleaning and the tech did not clean all my teeth. He told me..."ok, you are done. You can go now." IT was so nice to be sat right next to dental files (HIPPA law violation)since I could see all the names and personal information. During the visit, the techs and dentist kept telling EVERY child (without the parent being present) that they had 3-9 cavities. NO WONDER THEY HAVE CAVITIES....it is from their SHOTTY cleanings. To make things worse, they did not contact my insurance on Friday so they did not know anything about what was allowed. I had to look up my benefits and tell them. HOW SAD IS THAT??!!!!
