I was enrolled for 3 months, making payments of $339.00 each month. They did not negotiate any settlements and after the creditors contacted me and offered to settle immediately, i contacted WD to tell them i wanted to settle because the program was affecting my credit very badly and the creditors did not work with debt settlement companies. before starting the program i told them i was not in dire need to settle and had a good credit score but the account person insisted that i should do this and any affect on the account would not be that bad. after i settled outside of WD only 3 months after starting the program with WD they told me my payments would be the same and the term might change but they "werent sure". they didn't know anything everytime i asked about my plan payments or negotiations with the creditors. they would just say they were "in the process."
After i settled all cards with the credits WD refused to refund the money even though they did NOTHING. I was also told by two separate sources that the Bank of America accounts were never eligible for debt settlement, as I have recently been informed that Bank of America does not participate in debt settlement company programs. As an credible, scrupulous debt settlement company (if they had any experience in debt settlement) WD should have known and acknowledged this about Bank of America during the enrollment process, instead of continuing the enrollment process and saying the program could settle the debt. Therefore, WD misrepresented their services. I would never have enrolled had I known these accounts could never be settled by WD with Bank of America and that my credit would be so negatively affected. I had a 736 credit score when I enrolled up and now the cards have been delinquent for 4 months and no one from WD has contacted BOA to negotiate a settlement, I am forced to settle on my own. hopefully my score will recover
