Horrible Experience
|
1. Said contractor subjected me, my young children and other occupants and
workmen to disruptive conditions, toxic hazardous materials and dangerous working and living conditions. Vista Home improvements demonstrated a complete disregard for proper protocol and protective measures.
2. Said contractor failed to notify me about lead and asbestos dangers.
3. Said contractor failed to test for lead and asbestos.
4. Said contractor allowed the toxic lead and asbestos dust and rubble of
construction materials to contaminate the home living area as well as
households items including toys, clothing, musical instruments, books and
documents stored within the garage, home and front yard.
5. Because of the complete disregard for debris and dust control, clean up,
and lack of protective safety equipment I would like to question the
validity of the certificates held by this company regarding lead and
asbestos.
6. It has been brought to my attention that there are many building code
violations of the work done by Vista Home Improvements. Here is a list of a
few.
1. Substandard, improper flashings that allowed water infiltration and
flooding into my home.
2. Door installed out of plumb and level
3. Deck framing off code, substandard fasteners, no engineering
calculations
4. Existing dry rotted deck framing sheeted over with new material
5. Improper stucco, lath, and exposed electrical wiring.
Note: These site conditions still exist and may be inpected.
Sincerely and with great concern,
Shauna Steiner Torok and family
