A Business Nightmare
|
Like most people I've had good and bad experiences with business but what happened at VMSG was by far the worst. As someone who supports local business and comes from a long line of entrepreneurs, I understand what is required to succeed but I also know when compassion takes priority. I was astonished at the complete lack of respect and compassion toward distressed and grieving clients paying high medical bills by the administrative and management staffs. During my first ER visit I was told that if a client is unable to pay their bill due upon receipt, the hospital would "stop rendering services" even if it resulted in the animal's death. During an ER visit between 1:00 - 3:00 AM, I was instructed not to leave the building without providing a check. Due to life-threatening circumstances, I did not bring any means of payment with me. An employee demanded that a family member get out of bed to deliver my checkbook. That family member was an elderly woman in her eighties. After the tragic passing of our treasured loved one and expenses exceeding $4,000.00 which included grief counseling, I received a letter from the Hospital Administrator. She informed me that due to my refusal of payment in the amount of $75.00 for ER transport on the fourth and final visit, I was no longer welcome at VMSG and my elderly mother who suffered trauma was denied grief counseling. Sadly, my best friend passed away prior to entering the ER, therefore, no service was rendered. In addition, I would strongly suggest that customers tape record conversations with doctors as medical reports were manipulated to benefit the hospital and their referral sources. For these reasons, I give VMSG 0 stars.
