I searched for a reasonably-priced driver training program for my son. Unfortunately, I came across this fly-by-night operation and trusted that they must be required to provide at least the basics.
Wrong!
First, the manager (?) was quick to call back at first but once paid, in advance ($340/10 hours), he would only return calls after 5PM. His English is marginally understandable (another red-flag I chose to ignore in an attempt to be politically correct; bad move).
After two lessons, I asked my son what the instructor was teaching him. He said they just drive around and that he was OK to get on the freeway. I noticed that he knew nothing about any practical skills, never backed up, didn't receive any tips on where to look or how to stay centered in the lane.
When I scheduled his last lesson, my son told me that the instructor told him to wait until just before his driving test. I called to cancel that night but never got a call back. My son called the next day and got a call back after the scheduled time telling him that there would be a penalty because they had canceled someone else's lesson to accommodate him. When I finally called to re-schedule the last lesson, I was not called back. I called again (late in the afternoon) and was told by the manager (?) that he didn't return the call because the last lesson was used up by the penalty; I needed to pay $65 more to schedule. I declined. Antoher two hours with these "instructors" would'nt help much, anyway.
I would definitely not recommend this school to anyone unless native Tagalog speakers (note the "Filipino [sic] Spoken" banner) and only if they want to spend a lot of time on their own before testing. Paying more would be the better choice.
