Review 12/24/2009
|
United Steel Building has stopped responding to my correspondence (it is now December of 2009). Having paid a fabrication deposit in July 2009, it seems unreasonable that a company would repeatedly refuse to respond to a question regarding the fabrication status of that building. My opinion is that a firm which cannot fabricate a steel building in a timely fashion during a global downturn in demand, or which does not feel a responsibility to tell its customers what it is doing, is not a firm with which to do business. To put it more plainly, United Steel Building is a firm to avoid at all costs. There are a large number of competitors who will provide better service.
Update as of 1/12/2010 I have filed complaints about this organization with the Internet Crime Center and the Federal Trade Commission. I urge others who have paid money to this organization and not received the contracted building to do the same. Then send letters to your senators, representatives and local US attorney. The money is probably gone, but getting federal law enforcement involved may yield felony convictions which will make repeat offences more difficult. Remember to save anything in writing and copies of electronic communications. I would avoid dealing on the phone with members of this organization unless you can record the conversation after obtaining the necessary permission. The more complaints made to federal law enforcement agencies about interstate activities, the better the chance of action.
