Had a tricky deal on a BMW330i coming from San diego to Blaine. Hard time getting title meant juggling p/u time for transport. Over the two week period Tanya would check in and see how we were doing. Who does that? On more than one occasion she set everything up only to have me phone and say hold off. It gets worse, as a silly Canadian I got a quote from her to pick up in Orange county. Well the real p/u was in San Diego. My bad. Tanya spoke to the driver who said no problem and for no extra money grabbed the car. I checked with three other Transport companies on pricing and United was competitive. My final challenge was getting it to the border before 3:30 on Friday as US customs closes the car export department at that time for the weekend. My driver was amazing. He called at 11:00 am Friday am saying he would make it for 2:00. He was at the drop-off literally at 2:00. What a hero. Yes the car had some dirt on it as I shipped it on an open carrier, but, thats alright. So to recap: value important, service crucial, communication the key. United exceeded my expectations. Let me rephrase that. Tanya is an amazing resource for anyone wanting to protect an asset during a move. Price the others first, call her last. Set your requirements regarding communication during the process then put the ball in play. Well done United, give that girl a gold star!
