Review 5/4/2010

On April 2, 2010, I purchased a Straight Talk cellular phone (division of Tracfone) and a $45 unlimited calling plan phone card. I went to the website and followed the prompts for setting up the phone. After all information was entered I was given an error. On April 3, I called the company to finish setting the phone up. After waiting for an hour on hold I was told my phone was set up and to make a call. When I dialed a number I was given a voice prompt saying my call could not be made. I was then assigned another phone number and told to reset my voicemail password, I did this and the phone worked. 1 hour later I tried to make a call and received a Verizon Wireless message stating my phone could not be authenticated. I called and again waited on hold for an extended period. After I was given a new number everything worked until May 2, this is when I tried to add a new phone card to the account. I went to the website and entered my phone number and card as requested and received an error stating my number was not a Straigh Talk phone number. I called the automated phone number on May 3, and attempted to have the number input, receiving a similar error. I then called and push the prompt to speak to a support representative, after being on hold for 62 minutes and 58 seconds, I was disconnected. On May 4, I called and was on hold for 30 minutes and was able to talk to a support representative who insisted, though they had phone problems, the error was on my part for not calling on May 3. I was informed, after giving the card number, that all problems were cleared up and could use my phone. 1 hour later, I received a Verizon error message when attempting to place a call. I called the company back and was on hold for over 45 minutes before reaching a rep. This time I was told, because I did not call on May 3, my number had been deactivated and would now have to be issued another number. 1 hour later...yep, you guessed it, Verizon Wireless error message. I called the company AGAIN, was on hold for 5 minutes and asked to speak to a supervisor, to which I was transferred and received a message "We are presently closed for the holidays" and disconnected...
