I paid for auto insurance for the year in advance. 8 months into the policy they breached the contract by canelling my policy early. The contract states if the policy has been in effect for 60 days they will not cancel the policy but they have the right to give a 30 day notice not to renew upon the policy renewal. 6 months into my policy I added a driver to my policy. They accepted the driver then recended the driver and only refunded a portion of the money I paid in advance for him for the remainder of my policy. They never refunded any of the money that I paid for the whole year in advance. I thought when they sent the cancellation and a check for a portion of what I paid to have my added driver on the policy they were only cancelling my added driver. They also only gave 19 days notice but did not send the notice until after they cancelled the policy. I got into an accident and called to report the accident and they gave me a claim number. After calling them back to see why no one has contacted me I was only able to leave a voice message. Still I recieved no call back so I called my broker who told me they cancelled my policy. I said no they cancelled my driver I added. I asked them to find out wgat was going on. No call back so I called my broker back they said the insurance company was not going to accept my claim. I feel I have been totally wronged and now am paying for a lawyer to take care of this for me not to mention I had to pay for a new insurance policy even though I had already paid for the whole year in advance without getting a refund and I have to pay for the damage to my vehicle and so on. I think this company should take responsibility for this accident due to they should have never cancelled me. I had liability, collision and comprehensive coverage. This company does not return phone calls to anyone who they deny a claim. They also do not return calls to the other insurance companies that are involved in the accident when they have denied the claim of their insured.
