Dont Trust the positive Reviews. This company does not honor their supposed "Lifetime" warranty. Does not respond to phone calls, does not show up for appointments.
I had a garage door spring replaced on 7/7/08 by "The Garage Door Repair Company". The technician did not have the right spring on his truck but assured me he was installing a "Heavier duty spring". Being handy with household repairs, I should have known better, but I was appeased by his asssertion of a Lifetime Warranty.
Now, less than a year later, the same spring has broken. I called the company on Friday May 1st and was told a technician would arrive before 5:00 PM. By 6:00 PM and several calls to their office, I was called back by a person who informed me that everyone was out with the flu and "Joe" was unavailable. He told me he was very busy and that if he could he would come Saturday in the morning but if he wasn't there by 11:00, that he would come Monday.
Today is Monday and not one of my several phone calls to any of "Joe's" several phone numbers was returned and I still have a broken Garage Door. By the way, his phone numbers are prepaid cell phones, not legitimate premise phones.
I called the "subcontractor" (Thank you caller ID) and he said he doesnt work for the company, but only helps out on the weekends. He could not offer any alternate way to reach the company or get any service.
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY AND EXPECT ANY SERVICE AFTER THE SALE. BELIVE THE BBB RATING OF "F"
If there was a worse rating than "F" I would give it.
Next stop, small claims court...
