Not suitable for multifamily or smaller apartment buildings

I am a landlord and this past week I paid tenantalert.com for 6 credit checks. This firm emails prospective tenants a link to provide information for a credit check. Unfortunately I discovered the tenant is asked to complete an expansive 50 item questionnaire (including items such as emergency contacts, types of vehicles, etc.). In fact the only information required for the credit check is SS#, DL#, name and address - but this is not indicated in the expansive questionnaire. Also, although the landlord (me) has already prepaid for the credit check, the email to the tenant states the tenant may have to submit a credit card to pay for the credit verification. My prospective tenants found this cumbersome, confusing, and some gave up trying to fill out the endless details, and lost tenants are an opportunity cost to me. This process is not well designed.
