Dishonest and Rude--I have never seen such bad customer service
|
I've had their services for the last 2 years. In the first week of August 2012 I called to cancel the services;they said they would have to charge me one more month, even though I had called over 20 days prior to the date to process the next month charges (September). So even though I've not seen this before, I HAD to accept it. So I asked them to give me the lowest service rate for that last month(September).Their representative told me clearly (they have it recorded) that: 1-The service would be cancelled on Sep30th, and that I did not have to call them anymore to request the cancellation. 2-I would not see any more charges from Telehispanic Services. 3-I would be able to use the service until my balance was zero.
They charged me the following amounts: 08/12: $33 (until 09/12) 08/29: $15 (supposedly until end of September) but then they charged me again: 09/29: $15 10/30: $15 Today, Oct30th,after checking my credit card statement, I realized that they charged me for those two more months. I called them and explained the situation, they checked into their records, even the conversation I had with their representative on the phone on August, they acknowledged the mistake, but FAILED to take any responsibility.
They say that I used the service in September and October. I argued that I did so because I had a balance from the $33 I paid them on 09/12 and the $15 I paid them on 08/29. Still, I asked them again, to at least have the common sense to acknowledge that I have requested the service cancellation since August and to reimburse me the charges on 10/30, yet they said no. So I am being forced to have their services for another month now. I find this company to be very dishonest, and forceful as they keep charging my credit card because they have the information, even though I told to stop doing so. I hope something can be done in this case. I have filed a complaint to the BBB. Telehispanic HAVE to inform the clients upon hiring their services, that they WILL charge you an additional month when you cancel. they have to be responsible for their mistakes, as I formally called them (they have it recorded)to stop the services and they did not do so.
One question: Is it legal that they charge you one more month of service even if you call 20 days before the next transaction?
