We entered into an agreement with TRS, June 10th 2011. We paid $12,500.00 TRS made our tax sitation much worse. While a contract was signed, TRS came no where close to providing what they claimed would do for us. We on the other hand did everything as instructed and persistantly went out of our way to be sure TRS had what they needed including the entire retainer fee. Often found ourselves having to be proactive due to suspicion that TRS was not handling the IRS issues properly. We are requesting a Full and Complete refund of the $12,500.00
Over the 10 months that TRS was handling our case, there were countless emails and phone calls made. TRS in every phone call and every email assured us that they were taking care of our IRS issues. However, we were also receiving IRS documents weekly during the entire time. They were often time sensitive documents from the IRS that if not responded to would continue to get us deeper in debt and more and more trouble with the IRS. We only learned this as time went on. The facts are they were making our IRS matters much worse due to many failues and mistakes on their part. We received Bank Summons from the IRS and TRS always told us they were taking care of it. I learned that TRS only contacted them a few times. And then the worst possible scenario played out... we noticed every single dime plus over drafts total approx. $14,000 was taken from all our bank accounts by the IRS. I spent an entire day on the phone with the IRS and finally pursuaded them to return $5,000 so that we could pay all our bills. Our new Tax Specialist has managed to work with the IRS and recover several thousands of dollars so far. TRS was causing us to loose thousands in addition to the $12,500 we paid them. Our new Tax Specialist was able to work with the IRS to undo a significant amount of the damage that TRS caused. We were practically obliterated by the IRS thanks to the poor handling of our case by TRS.
