My wife and I bought a Vizio TV from Target in November of 2010. Within 6 months the TV became useless to watch, stripes on the screen, cutting off then back on. We contacted Target and they told us there was nothing they could do,to contact Vizio. We are still battleing with Vizio.
About two weeks ago we were in Walmart at the TV section and the Dept. Manager asked if she could help us. We explained (without telling her where we purchased the tv) our problem and the runaround we were getting from VIzio. She excused herself and returned a few minutes later. She then informed us that she spoke with the store manager and that we could bring the TV and our receipt in, they would replace the TV with a TV of our choice (of equal value, or we pay the difference). We then told her that we purchased the TV from Target. She advised us to go back to Target and let them know what was going on with Vizio. We went straight to Target and explained to the customer service rep (who was very nice) what was going on and we were again told "sorry, but you have to take it up with Vizio."
From now on we will purchase "big ticket" items from a store who cares about their customers, Walmart!
