didn't let the cops mess with me.

three months i got a call from a cop telling me that he wants to talk to me. i immeidately called like 5 lawyers and i got all kinds of info. Some firms recommended i just wait until charges, others expolained the process to me. terani law firm was one
of the firms that taught me about how the prefiling investigation works and i wanted to be extra cautious for obvious reasons so i hired them. my lawyer called the cop back who told her that my case was transferred to a detectice, so my lawyer called the detective.
we didn't hear back for about a week. then we finally did. the detective wanted to talk and we did. but my lawyers spoke on my befalf. frankly, i was guilty of what they accused me of and i WANTED to be held responsible, but i didn't want them to railroad
me and try to accuse me of all this extra BS that i didn't do.. so finally we agreed on a peaceful surrender and only misdemeanor charges. i re retained the firm thereafter to represent me on the misd charges and then i got a deffered adjudication. nothing
on my record but i'm just on probation! i couldn't be happier and i could also know that i made good on my mistakes. really a tough situation for anyone to be in, but i thought it was best to nip it in the bud early and it worked out well.
