They Will Charge You At Move-Out FOR ITEMS YOU RETURNED TO MANAGEMENT
|
Good luck if you live at a building managed by State Wide. When I moved out of my apartment at a State Wide managed building last year, I returned my keys and garage remote to the rent drop box as requested by the building manager. When I received the remainder of my deposit back, I found that State Wide had charged me a fee for not returning my garage remote -- WHEN I HAD ALREADY PAID A $25 DEPOSIT FOR THAT SAME REMOTE -- and charged me a fee for not returning my keys. BOTH OF WHICH I HAD RETURNED PER THE BUILDING MANAGER'S REQUEST. Meaning either the building manager LIED and said I hadn't returned the keys and remote, or corporate State Wide has a specific practice of charging people for not returning things they've returned.
I both called and emailed the building manager AND State Wide corporate and no one ever responded. Oh and I filed a complaint here with the BBB recently, which they said they would investigate and never followed up.
