I purchased a new home in Irvine, CA from Standard Pacific Homes.
At first their customer service was very good, although there were some issues, they addressed our needs in a timely manner.
However, we had an open issue that was not resolved that we called in to fix recently and it seems the turning economy has significantly affected their customer service.
They refused to honor their agreement to fix the problem and then to top it off they accused of "lying" to them by using an outside vendor to try and fix our problem. We did not of course, it was just a technique to try and void our warranty. Now that we've bought our house it seems that Standard Pacific is no longer interested in honoring their obligations.
BUYERS BEWARE, Standard Pacific Homes may not be there for you after you close escrow. You may be better off by purchasing from a more STABLE company.
