Slade Law Group is not a scam folks. To us they are awesome! It wasn't easy,of course, but we knew it would not be before we started. Because our business died right along with everything else we went from a nice income to no income and we couldn't afford mortgage payments and feed the boys, keep our cars, and basically live! We went to NACA and they could not do anything for us so we were a bit skeptical in hiring an attorney. The difference for us was, (and still is) the fact that attorney firms can initiate legal proceedings, (like file motions to stop sales!) NACA or 3rd party lon mod firms cannot!
Slade Law Group may not be able to get everyone a loan modification, but they got us a loan modification that's affordable. It is still tough, trying to catch up in other aspects of our lives, but a drop to 2% in the interest, escalating to no more than 5% in the 5th year will allow us to make cheap payments now and end up 2pts lower than where we started, but..., when we'll better be able to afford it (as biz is a bit better).
We're sorry that everyone can't receive an affordable restructure. It took Slade 2 months to get us in front of BoA's 'board' alone(!)and then it took several months to get a permanent one(as Ed warned us!)
Shannon, (our negotiator) didn't always call us back when we would have liked, but we soon learned there was usually nothing to report back from the lender, so we wound up apologizing for emotions and the high anxiety that restructuring our mortgage put us through. She wound up doing a great job, and we really owe her a lot!
It is not easy folks, but hire an experienced restructure attorney with good legal assistants and they'll keep your home for you!
