Hi Ilya. We apologize about your experience when ordering from Klipsch.com. Here are the reasons why state sales tax was applied to your order.
During the checkout process, there is a footnote under the order total that indicates, "Additional tax may be added to your order." When you place an order on our website, we locate the nearest fulfillment center to your shipping address and assign the order to that location. We do this to promote fast shipping times and provide world-class customer experiences. If the fulfillment center is located in your state, we will apply state sales tax to your order. If the closest fulfillment center is not in your state, you will not be charged tax.
State sales tax is a common cost and is necessary when we ship an order from your state. We are not able to take requests or guarantee that a product will be shipped to you from outside of your state.
