CD Wallet Product purchase
|
I had a bad experience with another vendor and after verifying the product info with a shop4tech customer service agent I went ahead with my large purchase. It was a shock and a surprise to find that, again, the product does not match the picture or description. The product did come without the little inserts I find so annoying but they did not come (except for one) with the pull tab that snaps to release or lock in the pages. Instead these come with some idiotic locking mechanism that I had to use a tool to release. It was extremely time consuming to open and close these pages and I cannot understand why anyone would change the design.
Apparently neither can Shop4tech. After a couple of emails to customer service I was advised that the manufacturer had made the changes unbeknownst to them. I'm glad they don't sell cars. If they ordered 5 blue cars and got 5 red ones and sold them as blue it would be called fraud. Here we call it "we just don't know what they're going to send us". Well... perhaps not. Then you shouldn't advertise them until you have them in hand so you know what it is your selling.
I went over to Mediaoutfit.com and purchased the EXACT cd wallets I wanted which came at a lower price, had no inserts and did have the proper locking mechanisms as I expected them to have. On top of that, the EBOX wallets I purchased were also bigger so as to allow for cd booklets. Again... they were exactly what I thought I was getting and then some. These other vendors should take note. Selling things and not knowing exactly what you're selling or advertising may work where you are used to selling things, but it doesn't work very well here. Sooner or later the law will catch up to you and I feel sorry for you when they do.
I will give some kudos for the offer of a 15% refund although, in my mind it's not nearly enough to rectify the extra work I had to do just to get these things to do what I wanted them to.
But I know how to make my feelings known in the grand scheme of things. Let's just see where I put my money next the time I'm in need.
