Nothing Romantic about it
|
I contacted Romantic Threads through their Etsy account June 1213 inquiring about their "Cersei Game of Thrones Medieval Corset Gown Custom" I was inlove with it instantly. I admit I wasn't buying this as a bridal gown like so many of the other complaints here so I didn't have a strict time line. However "Belinda" assured me it would take 2 months to make and so I left her to it. In hindsight I can now plainly see she is very quick at replying to your emails while you're investing an interest in buying the gown, and even in the first couple of months (while the window is open to report her to Etsy/Paypal) However once that window expires it is entirely different story. After not hearing anything from her for a few months, no emails/ no dress I naturally started to chase and was met with excuses after excuses, and then eventually she just plain ignored my emails. I eventually tracked her down through facebook and posted complaints about not getting my dress and emailed her there, I admit by this point I felt I had no other options, my time to make a claim through paypal or Etsy had expired and £526.12GBP is alot of money to just walk away from. She instantly replied and promised me the dress would be sent out next week, I kept chasing and she even promised me a free matching cape. However by this point I had a feeling this was just more lies in order to shut me up and I'd never get the dress. I then emailed asking for a tracking number and that was last month, I never got a reply.... it's now April 1214 coming up 10 months and still no dress. I have noticed she has since blocked me on facebook so I can't even complain there. would a genuine seller block a customer? I don't think so, but then a genuine seller wouldn't respond to her sellers complaints with such blatant and utter contempt. Proof is always in the pudding, this person has numerous negative feedbacks showing her to be running a fairly frequent pattern here, I think most of the other buyers were in the USA so she felt she had to supply something, but as I am in the UK, if she does reply her excuse is naturally going to be the cliche "it got lost in the post" which would explain the lack of providing me with a tracking number This person is a lying fraudster, DO NOT send them your hard earned money

Business's response - by Belinda B.on 4/10/2014

Well, I have to write a response because it does sound harsh.....of course if you thought you were getting ripped off I understand the rage....This is not the case, I have contacted the customer and shown her the images of the set including the free pieces I made for her. anyone can see the set on my Facebook page right now. Unfortunately the fabric was almost impossible to source, so the order did fall through the cracks a bit. I showed her the images of the finished set, she no longer wants it...so I am posting it for sale and issuing a refund. I am pulling custom sets like this that are just too hard to do anymore. The fabrics are too hard to find now.
