Robert Cardoza please always exercise due diligence when choosing a professional tax consultant. Although the front store may look good the backroom will kill you. Talk to former employees and clients of any preparer you may be considering. You may want to talk to the IRS as well. The IRS will and has targeted unscrupulous preparers and using any such person will bring immediate attention and action. Be cautious about formation of “asset protection” structures. Even with what appears to be very good advice from individuals who may or may not have qualifications you may be headed for trouble. Example: claimed PhD’s, etc. It is a sales pitch to get your money. When push comes to shove you get the bill and the trouble even if you get so called ”audit insurance”. Get a 2nd and even a 3rd opinion before launching what could be the end of your financial future. Save yourself future embarrassment, loss, and IRS issues. Do your homework before choosing any such person. I went from nearly 1 million net worth to having troubles qualifying for an apartment whose payment is a mere fraction of my income. There are many others who feel the same and whose lives have been forever changed because of one individual. One person can and WILL ruin your life forever.
