There is a reason why Progressive has been in business for decades and a reason why they have the highest (AAA) rating. It's because they stand by what they say. I was actually all set to go with another well known window company, who offered a lower price but not the same warranties and services (they wouldn't take down blinds and put them back up again like Progressive did) as Progressive. However, having had recent issues with another contractor, I had asked the other company some pre-cautionary questions that the California contractor's license board (www.cslb.ca.gov) encouraged me to ask. They were apparently put off by a cautious customer and as a result, refused to speak to me again.
On the other hand, Bob Penzel and the rest of the Progressive folks not only allowed me to ask these questions, they actually encouraged it in their paperwork! That's how sure of they were of their work and reputation. They also were very good about regularly and timely callbacks to me with updates.
The work was fast and quick and I'm happy with my new windows. I spent a lot of time interviewing and inviting various companies into my home. I initially passed up on Progressive because of a lower rate elsewhere (although in the end, Bob gave me the best overall deal with warranties and service) and thought all their talk was salesman speak.
Little did I find out later on that it was true and they were good to their word. I haven't had issues with the windows, but I know that if I did, Progressive would fix the situation free of charge and right away.
