Praxis EMR review

Our office has been using Praxis for four years now and we are highly satisfied. We have three providers and the reason we implemented EMR was to improve our workflow. Praxis has helped us accomplish that and much more. The reason our office does not have speed, lost data, or functionality problems is that we used the proper hardware specs recommended by Praxis to avoid those issues.
In 2008, our office spent $4400 on a DELL quad core server along with an Oracle database. This was long before the ARRA act was created and obviously is a big bonus for us ($44,000/ provider). For those who would complain about the functionality of Praxis due to improper hardware design, let me say this-THAT'S WHAT THE $ IS FOR!!!
As far as the software design questions that were raised earlier, I can honestly say that those DO NOT exist. Praxis has a main menu screen with a problem list for each patient upon opening the chart that is available to everyone in the clinic so that everyone knows the patient's past medical history immediately. Also for those patients that have multiple medical problems that are dealt with during their visit, Praxis has a multiple assessment button that, with two clicks of the mouse, can add multiple diagnoses to each patient's office note. The thing that I like the most about Praxis is that it is not based on templates and it allows me to place my on thoughts and practice style into the chart.
I could go on & on about the interfaces that we utilize such as lab, ePrescribe, EKG, Stress test, others, but the most impressive results can be found @ the AAFP website where Praxis was voted #1 in customer support in 2009, 2011 by their clients when compared to the top EMRs on the market. We have always been thoroughly pleased with the responsiveness of the support department @ Praxis to help fix any problems that come up and the Praxis administration has always been open to our suggestions on how to make the product better.
