My experience with Perfect Bridal was very unsatisfactory! I placed a bridesmaid order but was mislead by the delivery dates on their website. I placed my order on 05/03/11 (17weeks, 3days in advance). According to the website, standard delivery is 12-14 weeks.
When I called to confirm the order, they gave me a ship date of 08/22/11 (15 weeks, 5 days later). Since I would still have about 1.5 weeks for any alterations, I thought this would still be ok and I agreed (wrong choice).
To my surprise they sent me an email an entire week later on 05/11/11 saying that the ship date was now going to be 08/29/11, the Monday before the wedding!! I was horrified!! This would leave no time for alterations if I needed to make adjustments.
I quickly called to cancel to which I was told that they cannot cancel or refund an order once it was "confirmed" and/or "submitted". I explained the change in delivery dates that I was given, to which they replied that all they could do to help was change the ship date back to the earlier date (08/22/11) and that they would send me a new e-mail confirming this. They didn't care that the bride wanted to us to cancel all our orders and that I would not be needing the dress anymore.
Three weeks later, I'm still waiting for this "amended" e-mail. I do not trust this company, it seems like they want to force you to pay for expedited shipping and as many unnecessary fees as they can squeeze in.
If you cannot cancel an order you've placed after a week, I think it's unreasonable and shows bad faith and bad customer satisfaction. This is one instance where "buyer beware" is totally exemplified!
