Review 6/11/2009

Job date: 8-9 Jun 2009 Our home was built in 1969. The wood trim is huge: 8" x 14" rough sawn corbels and cross beams with 8" x 8" columns. We had just replaced our roof and put in all new front yard landscape and hardscape. You can imagine my joy when evidence of subterranean termites, drywood termites, dry rot and fungus in the wood trim and courtyard privacy wall became obvious as I prepared to paint my home. :-( Peartree Construction was one of three contractors invited to give us an estimate. I liked the fact that this company had the ability to do their own construction work, as well as treat our termite problem. The price quoted was not the lowest, but was fair and realistic to the job at hand. The job was scheduled promptly. Workers arrived on time and were personable and professional in demeanor. I explained my concerns regarding my new roof, new rain gutters, and plants, some of them in the vicinity of the work area being rare or endangered species. The workmen evidenced care and respect for these, not damaging anything while doing a difficult job. Two corbels, one column and two 26' spans of fascia board had to be replaced. Those portions of roofing trim that had to be replaced as part of the job were matched exactly to the existing structure and actually installed with greater precision than had been done by the roofing company. The job was scheduled to take two days and was completed on time. The workmen cleaned up the jobsite both days. Refuse was taken away. Some additional termite and rot problems were exposed during the job. I held my breath, figuring this would be a point where I could get fleeced. These new problems were graciously fixed at no additional charge. Bottom line: I will use this company again and can recommend them without reservation.
