Happy client!

I wanted to give a review and realize this is based on never having worked with a contractor before on this type of job. My husband and I ventured into this "demo/renovation" with not a lot of experience, BUT we are two people that are very particular, very project focused, highly detail orientated and had high expectations for the journey we decided to take. It was a big remodel for a 3k sq ft home, so completely new flooring, carpeting, remodel of master bath, remodel and slight expansion of kitchen, adding in new big sliders to family room, new appliances added, new sinks and counter tops, and a few other items, so this was no small project. Doing this kind of work and remodel is stressful and certainly comes with it's challenges along the way. We do feel working with NU Kitchen and his team was a very good experience. We had a vision for our home and meeting at their location to review some of the materials was very helpful, they had good recommendations to meet our needs and were very professional. During the project we were kept in the loop the entire time, they are big on texting and that worked just fine for us. Of course, and as it is expected, a few issues came about, like counters we purchased got sold out from under us so no fault from us or NU Kitchen, so that created a delay that could not be helped, but NU Kitchen helped us manage around the delay in timing till we were back on track. The estimates for the project were fair and we added a few new items along the way and were given estimates for those items so as no surprises. Keep in mind we are detailed orientated so we were very good at keeping track of everything from costs to timelines, etc. Also, I do feel we were given a lot of good advise from NU Kitchen, some areas we certainly didn't have knowledge of, like adding in 4 panel sliders, but we did our own research, consulted with NU Kitchen and in the end made the decision use the manufacturer we wanted. But in some other instances went with what NU Kitchen is accustomed to using such as the new window and new glass shower doors in the master bath. The team is very knowledgeable and would always give us feedback, especially to the many questions I would ask along the way or while they were working on the job as I work from home and was around the entire time. We had an instance with a track for the master closet where the grout kept coming out, they were back and checking it out a few times and remedied the situation and now no issue. We also had an instance where a sink in a powder bath needed to be switched around but the marble counter on it was just set on it - we had gone to dinner and got a call/text that same day that the worker was at our house and needed to be let in so he could fit it right away. That was great service and well appreciated. We also had the house completely repainted inside after all the construction was completed, they had their own contractor to do that job and NU Kitchen was very involved every step of the way and even went to bat for us when the ceiling was painted but because of all the work that had been done for dry walling, there was so much showing and the paint would not cover adequately, so NU Kitchen was on the phone and at our house looking it over and had the paint company resurface the entire ceiling then repaint and it's just perfect, so they cared about the quality of work. As noted, we had a big job at our house, we are completely satisfied with the end result and very much appreciate the work NU Kitchen did. I've talked to a lot of friends along the way and learned that everyone has come across various issues with construction and contractors and what I realize is that not everything can be perfect, also, you have to have a realistic perspective going into it and take an active role, communicate well and be fair. Should I have another job I needed help with, I would certainly contact NU Kitchens & Floors Inc again! Thank you for our beautifully renovated home!
