These guys deserve zero stars, if I could give it. Truly atrocious. So bad I wonder if they actually legitimately sell product. My case at least was a scam. I've never experienced anything like it, and I've been ordering online for a very long time.
The item I ordered from these guys was supposedly in stock, and my credit card was billed immediately, but they never shipped anything. What's more, no emails, no nothing. The order remained in "pending" status on their website. When I called a week later they said the item was backordered from the manufacturer and I should wait 3 more weeks. Guess what, 3 weeks rolled by and nothing. No contact, no updated status, no shipment, nothing. Their customer service is either a total mess or downright dishonest. Sometimes they just put me on hold and never picked up.
I was pretty suspicious at this point, and I called the manufacturer directly. They said the item was freely available, but lo and behold these guys weren't authorized resellers. I guess they never intended to ship me anything.
I emailed a cancelation, and you guessed it, nothing. I phoned to cancel, and they gave me all sorts of promises, but still nothing. After about 1.5 months, still no goods and no refund. Seems like their modus operandi is to string people along until they can no longer dispute the charges with their credit card company. Stay away from these guys at all costs!! What's also interesting is that my transaction was billed to "California Computer". Look them up, California Computer Center Corp. or californiacomputer.com. There's no shortage of bad experiences with that company which seem eerily similar to mine, so I guess it's no surprise that Notebookforless.com appears to be affiliated with them. I can't believe they haven't been shut down, and are still taking orders to this day... take note and be warned.
