My tenant had a clogged kitchen sink. He called for the $59.00 special. When
they arrived they said that price is only if you have a accessible
clean-out. The tenant didn't know.... so they went ahead and did the work
from under the kitchen sink and charged him $180.00 to clear the drain."I
guess they never looked outside where one does exist." Later tenant called
back stating there is water all over the kitchen floor and also coming out
outside the house. The plumber came back and said that he would have to take
the toilet off and run a camera thru the drain to see the problem. That's
when I get a call from the plumber stating that we have a emergency situation
here and that 30 to 40 feet of drain pipe inside the cement slab under the
bathroom and kitchen floors were rusted out and needed to be replaced and
would cost $9500. I met with the plumber to see the damage via camera view and
would show me only if I hired him. He did show water on the floor by turning
on the bathroom & kitchen sinks. I had another plumbing company come out
finding the problem, a pipe leaking in the wall just behind the kitchen sink
and said it wouldn't cost no more than $250. I called Tony the manager at
Newton Plumbing and I asked him for all the troubles Newton Plumbing has
caused me maybe they could do it at 1/2 price? He sent a guy out and he
quoted $750 to repair a rusted 2"x 14" long pipe. {I had already cleared away all Stucco for job!}
I called Tony and he said he could go down to $500 and that kind of job is
usually $1000 ??? I ended up using another plumbing company at $250.
BEWARE !! OF THIS COMPANY !!!
