Unreliable and Unprofessional Company - BEWARE!!

STAY AWAY!! This company is a JOKE! I called this company on a Monday and asked for someone to come out and give us an estimate for water damage that occurred following a leak from our upstairs master bath down into our living room. They told us the soonest they could come out would be the following week on a Thursday (TEN DAYS LATER!!). I told them I would need to speak to my husband and would call them back if we decided to schedule. Since some of the other companies that our insurance company were "familiar with" (as the insurance evaluator put it) didn't have the best reviews, we decided to go out on a limb and schedule the appointment with Newreal, Inc. I called them back and spoke to a different girl (one of the girls' names was Tara, but I honestly can't remember if it was the first or second one with whom I spoke), who scheduled the appointment for the following Thursday between 8-9am. In the meantime, we had another company come out to do the drying process, and they mentioned having someone come out to spray and treat the area for possible mold/fungus. My husband called Newreal, Inc. back to see if they do that treatment, which they said they did. He also asked if they could come out sooner, as at this point we have a 2'x8' hole in our ceiling. The girl with whom he spoke (who was the first girl who originally spoke with me, but not the girl who made the appointment) told him that they didn't have any earlier appointments. So, my husband confirmed the appointment for the following Thursday. Fast forward to today (Thursday...10 days of waiting for them to come...). They were scheduled to be at our house between 8-9am. When 9:30am finally rolled around, which I felt was enough of an extension to give them, I called the company. The same girl with whom I originally spoke the first time I called Newreal, Inc. answered the phone. I inquired about the status of their employee, and after she put me on hold for 2-3 minutes, she came back on to tell me "I'm sorry, but the girl who made your appointment no longer works here, so your appointment never made it into our books." EXCUSE ME???!!! Unless she was let go or quit in the 2 seconds it took me to request the appointment and her to schedule me, how could it not have made it into the books? And even IF that was the case, my husband called back and spoke to this other girl (the one who was talking to me right now), who CONFIRMED the appointment at that time. So if she could confirm it to him at that time, she obviously KNEW of the appointment. I told them that this was completely unacceptable, and that we have been waiting for almost TWO WEEKS for this appointment. She told me they could send someone out tomorrow, but at this point, we can't trust this company. Not to mention, both my husband and I work, and we both already took today off just so they could no-show on us. I told her that they needed to send someone out TODAY considering this was THEIR error, but she just kept saying, "I'm sorry, but I can't do that." Well, then, I can't give them a good review. In fact, I'm only giving them one star because I HAVE to...I'd give them zero stars if the system allowed me to do so! Newreal, Inc's website states the following (and I took this DIRECTLY from their website: ************************************************** Our Promise.. If your not happy, we will do everything we can to ensure your satisfaction. ************************************************** Well, obviously this isn't true, because there was absolutely NO EFFORT on Newreal's part to make this right. Do yourself a favor - use another company. This company is unprofessional, unreliable, and can't be trusted to do what they say. Is that what you want from a contractor???
