WOW!!!!!!!! I had paid the full price with the books included a few years ago when I was taking classes at National Bartenders School Sherman Oaks. The instructors were helpful and friendly. I unfortunately couldn't go anymore because I started full time schooling and afterwards became ill for years. I was told over and over again that I could come back five-ten etc years from now to take the classes again for NO CHARGE!!!! I called several months ago to see if that was still the case and was told I could still come back with no charge. Well I am better now and really wanted to go back and complete my classes, get a license and of course make use of the several hundred $$$$ that I payed them. After speaking with Scott, the owner of the Sherman Oaks location, I WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK THERE AGAIN. He said there was a $30 "reinstatement fee" and an additional $15 book fee. I told him I was a bit confused since I payed several hundred $$$$ a few years ago and the book was included. I also stated how I was told over and over again that no fee would be charged if I ever decided to come back. That I was told it would be FREE from the beginning and last I spoke to them, six months ago. I was polite, jut a bit confused with the misleading that was taking place. He hung up on me. I called him back and asked him what his name was and what position he had there. He arrogantly told me he was the owner. I asked him why he would be so rude to a consumer and speak to them in his tone of voice and also hang up on them. He response was that I was playing games with him (for asking him questions as to why I am being charged when I was told repeatedly I NEVER would be). Of course he argued with me. He was down right arrogant, rude, and unprofessional and no way am I going to go back there with his attitude and the misleading nature of how he operates his business.
