After the initial deposit was paid, I had no contact with the company until I contacted them on or about 6/27 or 6/28/11 regarding details of the scheduled 6/29/11 move (i.e. time the moving truck would arrive, etc.). I attempted to contact the company's relocation representative by phone, Sherry Murphy, leaving several messages. I also contacted her by email. Acknowledging we did miss each other's return calls, I finally received an email in the early afternoon of 6/28/11; the driver's were passing through a necessary inspection and I would be contacted later that day regarding an estimated arrival time. It was not until receiving an email sent at 7:05pm on 6/28/11 (the night before my scheduled move from New York to Florida) that I was informed MSA would be unable to do the move. THEY CANCELLED THE NIGHT BEFORE THE MOVE! Not only that, but they didn't even call. Luckily I checked my email before I had gone to bed...The reasoning was there a "problem with the truck and that it would need repair." There was no mention of a problem with the truck in the earlier inspection email. I was also informed MSA had "no idea how long it would take" and "they were trying to find me another moving company." After dozens of phone calls that evening and the weeks after, I have never received a return phone call nor have any of my many emails been responded to. THEY ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO GET AHOLD OF! I was never ultimately told what the repair problem was, and MSA never even attempted to provide information regarding the other moving company they were "trying to find." By cancelling their services the day before the scheduled move, not only was it a MAJOR inconvenience, but I was forced to spend substantially more money accomplishing the move. AWFUL company. COMPLETELY unprofessional. I've formally filed a complaint with the BBB today, and I am looking for damages. I hope by writing this review, I save someone else the agony and distress I had to endure. BEWARE! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!
