This is the first time I have placed an order with monoprice. I have been installing flat panel screens and installing HT systems for some time and have always used another vendor. Decided to try out monoprice basically because their pricing was very attractive for what wall mounts and cables, etc. I placed my order before 6am on 9/13 and selected overnight delivery. (Overnight Express) On Tuesday, 9/14 I called monoprice in the afternoon because I had not received my order and I was not able to track it. I also called Overnight Express before calling monoprice and they informed me my order was never picked up by them. The customer service person at monoprice confirmed this and apologized, saying it will go out that day (9/14) for next day delivery guaranteed. Because I was going to be at a different address (the address where I was doing the work) I had them change the ship to location which wasn't a problem. Around noon on 9/15 I called monoprice to locate my order and see when I should be expecting it. I was then informed that the person who helped me was out to lunch and they will call me back in an hour. After an hour and a half, I called monoprice back and was then informed that my order did not ship. I was furious because I was onsite, ready to complete a project and now I was left hanging. The customer service rep at monoprice said the best they can do is ship my order the next day, 9/16, for delivery the following day. That wasn't going to cut it since I needed to finish my project on 9/15. I then spoke to a manager who offered to ship my order that day, 9/15, but again, that is still a day late and I needed my order. Lucky for me, I am only an hour away from the momoprice warehouse so I had them change my order to will call. Once arriving to the warehouse at 4pm on 9/15 - I took a look at the activity and it was a very relaxed, stress free atmosphere. I don't see why an order cannot ship when it is expected to - makes no sense to me.

After receiving my order and made it back the job site, I discovered why monoprice has such good pricing - their craftmanship has loose quality control. What I am talking about is a ultra slim wall mount with a level installed. First of all the level that is installed is not accurate, always double check with a trusted level before securing to the wall. What I did not expect was for the brackets that attach to the screen to be manufactured so poorly. Once I got the customers 50" plasma installed, it was still crooked. I removed the display and double checked the wall plate. Sure enough, it was perfectly level. So I check the screen brackets and the slots for the wall plate to slide into are cut out at different depths - making it impossible to adjust with the wall plate attached to the wall. So I had to come up with a solution which I am not proud of, but it worked and the customer doesn't know any different.

Overall, MonoPrice is not worth the few extra bucks you will save. I am pretty relaxed with vendors too, and almost never write reviews - but this experience was so terrible, I had to warn others - and just stress that if you want something from monoprice, order it a few weeks in advance and triple check all your measurements, and specs before installing.
