Great Rates and Relatively Smooth Processing

In Feb, 2013, I found PacTrust through LendingTree.com because they were the first ones to call me. After checking a few other mortgage refi offers, PacTrust has the best rates for a jumbo loan with 80% LTV. The teams at PacTrust (Mission Hills Mortgage
Bankers is a division) and WFG Lender Services were friendly and easy to work with in a very collaborative way. Rita & Ruby at PacTrust, and Vickie & Emily at WFG Lender Services were all very helpful. My only complaints are that they need better literature
and websites explaining their rate programs and fees, because it's difficult to communicate everything with only verbal discussions, which was how PacTrust primarily communicated. I'm a visual, process-type person, and I would have preferred rate sheets, fee
summaries, etc. But everything with them was verbal. Of course they provided a good faith estimate, HUD, etc, but I was left to infer what many things were myself, and a less experienced homeowner would need help. I don't think most people understand the difference
between the mortgage interest rate and the APR, and this is really important for comparing apples to apples amongst different programs. In the end of my loan, PacTrust's investor needed some specific out of the ordinary language on my homeowner's insurance,
which required switching insurance companies because it was a deal-breaker for PacTrust. That was unfortunately and cost me several extra hundred dollars, but still well-worth the great rates I got from PacTrust.
