Poor Leasing Manager
|
I recently moved into these apartments in August and while I enjoy my neighbors and area, I cannot tolerate the leasing manager Tenoa. Unfortunately, she is not pleasant, and does not know how to speak to adults in a respectful manner. Since the second day I moved in she complained about my dog barking and or being outside. She THREATENED to call animal control and have my dog taken away. At that time she was rude and disrespectful in her tone. I explained that I do not take things well when others chose to speak inappropriately. She did not stand down. She was still rude and ugly in her mannerisms. With that being said I decided to call animal control myself that day, and find out what really violates pet laws or mistreatment of animals. I for one am a vegetarian, and do not eat, nor harm animals. So I treat my dog with the utmost care and love. Anyhow, Animal Control stated that it was okay for dogs to be outside even in the heat so long as they have water. Of course he doesn’t recommend it, but he stated that humans are out in heat for long periods of time as well. He stated that so long as my dog is cared for, fed, given water and bathed, and not being treated cruelly, then I do not have anything to worry about.
So come 2 months later Tenoa called once again with the same poor attitude stating that I had a complaint from a neighbor that there was dog feces on my patio. Well I live on the 4th floor and have no neighbors on either side of me. So it cannot be that a neighbor saw anything. I also have a black mesh fence across my balcony to ensure the dogs safety. Therefore nothing can be seen on my balcony. When Tenoa told me she had proof with photos that upset me greatly! I asked her if she had been in my apartment without my permission. She stated she had not, but the complainant took a picture from across the building. Again, this is not very convincing being that I live on the top floor, and the building across from me is over 100 ft away. So I stated that since the "neighbor" had photos they could clearly see my patio door left open for the dog to enter and exit as she pleased. She went on to ask how many times I walk my dog etc, and basically nothing was resolved. However I clearly stated that she, along with the neighbor is in violation of privacy laws by taking photos of my patio and or me! I have a family and I do not feel comfortable with the photos being taken. Tenoa refused to give me any information of her supervisors so I took it upon myself to find out more info. I have also gone and asked for the photos and have been told they are my neighbors property and so they cannot give them to me. I was also not allowed to even see the photos because magically they were MISSING!!
I then received a Violation letter on my door, yet no one was able to answer WHY/what should be corrected on my property.
