I've been a long-time customer of Mercedes Benz of Beverly Hills.
The dealership is situated close to my home making it convenient to purchase and have my car serviced at this location.
However, the customer service at Mercedes Benz of Beverly Hills has always been bad.
Today's experience was the last straw and made me vow to never do business with them again. I'll buy my next Mercedes and have it serviced at one of the many other dealerships in Los Angeles.
In short, when I called to schedule a routine B-Service I was quoted $480.00. When I arrived at the service center, the service representative filled in the service-sheet and asked me to sign their estimate of $658.00.
I explained that I had been quoted only $480.00 but he argued that the person giving the quote was unauthorized to do so, and that the B-Service was $658.00.
I went over to the Workshop Service Manager who insisted the service was $658.00. When I said I wanted to cancel the service and go to another dealership, he said that the $658.00 included a suggested extra service which was not standard or included in the B-Service as scheduled.
In effect, what the manager and the service representative were doing was getting me into to the workshop, and then without explanation, automatically up-selling me, anticipating I would accept whatever they said without question.
This is misrepresentation on their part.
When I said I was severing my business with Beverly Hills of Mercedes Benz there and then, the Service Manager offered to pick up the tab for the extra work over and above the B-Service ..... but by this time, they had lost my trust, and my business.
