Realtor Alan Forbes gave us terrible and inconsistent advice. Forbes told us that the seller's home inspection report was very good and he did not recommend that we get our own buyer's home inspection report. Forbes represented us exclusively on our home purchase.
Century 21 Lois Lauer sales manager, Sharon Jarrett-Meyer agreed that the seller's inspection report was very limited and that a buyer should ALWAYS get their own inspection report. However, she and Forbes refuse to compensate us at all for the unexpected repairs that were over 12k (pool/electrical/plumbing/safety/roofing/etc.). Jarrett-Meyer laughed that she usually gets complaints about her other realtors and she bragged about the volume of sales done by Lois Lauer Realty. Jarrett-Meyer stated they have no liability since Forbes had us sign a form that stated we should get our own buyer inspection report - contrary to his verbal advice given weeks later when we received the seller's inspection report. DON'T TRUST ALAN FORBES, SHARON JARRETT-MEYER AND CENTURY 21 LOIS LAUER REALTY! They will not compensate for their terrible/inconsistent and unethical advice if they can show they got you to sign a form that was not properly explained and later gave advice to the contrary of what was signed.
