Last November, my husband's hours at work were cut. Since we carry a high interest rate on our mortgage and owe more than the house is worth, we were trying to find a way to lower our interest rate on our mortgage. Loan modification seemed perfect for our situation. I did the research and found Legal Modification Firm run by the Law Office of Christopher Persaud (Mr. Persaud's bar #262620)out of Corona, CA. At that time I found no negative information and proceeded to apply for the loan modification. We were accepted and have a contract that states.. "within 180 days of our receipt of your information and fees that if we can not obtain successful loan modification performance for you, we will refund 100% of the legal fees you have paid". We paid Mr Christopher Persaud $2,995.00. When I demanded our money back last week (June 1,2010), I got no response either by e-mail or phone. Throughout these past 7 months we were just strung along...3 times the representative we were working with, Kenny Fong, requested copies of our paychecks, utility bills, property tax bill and bank statements!! This firm (people/person)has all our personal information (and if you read the many complaints that are now listed online regarding Legal Modification Firm and Mr. Christopher Persaud)they have all they need to commit Identity theft on many many people, including myself and my husband! This company is a fraud and Mr. Persaud is a crook!
