I want to give zero stars for just host. Please, if possible, make this an option for terrible customer service offenders (in my opinion, a SCAM).
100% money back guarantee is NOT TRUE. On 1/21 I chatted with 3 different reps to get some information on just host web service. I told them I wasn't very familiar with setting up a website & needed something easy. The monthly price advertised was $4.95 per month, however you need to commit to several years to get this price & with suggested add-ons the total bill was $311.45. The ADD-ONS; I am a novice & each time I asked the rep to explain an add-on, he said it was required with the type of website I wanted. Just Host told me I was required to have these add-ons and if not bought at sign-up the price would double. After additional reseach I found websites that had the same add-ons for less than the 50% price at just host.
I was assured about the 100% money back guarantee (NOT TRUE).
After logging in, I quickly realized this service was not for a novice. I even spoke with an experienced website developer and he said just host was difficult even for him. Later that day, shortly after logging in, I contacted Just Host via chat. The rep asked several questions, then told me to email the cancel department. The cancel department sent me to a link that only allows you to cancel at the end of your term, which for me would be 2 years from now.
I emailed the billing, refund, & cancellation departments & was told I'd only get $98 of my $311.45 back for less than one day of service. I don't want the domain names purchased or need to keep the add-ons. I mentioned BBB & they never responded to anymore of my emails.
Please send BBB secret shoppers to this site & reconsider the B rating & accreditation for just host. I wish I'd read BBB reviews before using just host. I think the website that list them as the number one provider is an advertising site they setup because no way they are number one with the reviews I'm reading and a B rating with the BBB.
