On 11/17/07, I purchased a custom made bridal veil from Mariposa Boutique in Anaheim. On 7/10/08, I went to Jinny’s Bridal Center to purchase earrings, a mermaid slip, steaming for my bridal dress and steaming for my veil. I left as I handed them my veil. Two days before my wedding, July 25th, 2008, I went to Jinny’s Bridal to pick up my dress and veil. The dress was not steamed as it should have been. I left as they said they would call me. Twelve minutes later, I got a call from Jinny asking me where my veil was. I politely said her store had it. They kept calling me to come back to the store to help them look for it as they admitted they misplaced it. I was in complete panic mode and very upset. On August 22nd, 2008, I sent Jinny a letter detailing my complaint. I attempted to call her a few times and she would not return my calls. When I told the receptionist I was following up on my letter she became extremely rude. Finally when I did get a hold of her, she accused me of making up my own receipt for the custom veil from Mariposa, even though I had the receipt. The company has the poorest service I have ever experienced. For the owner to say I was lying and leave me in tears is unacceptable. It is unacceptable that they will not refund the money for my veil even though they admit to losing it. When they first called they said that I never dropped off my veil. Then when I said I have the receipt showing that I did, they corrected themselves. I also scheduled an appointment to pick up my dress and veil steaming on Friday July 25th, and they failed to have even my dress steamed on time. I also have never heard of a store calling their customer to drive back to their store to help look for the veil they lost in the back room where literally close to 500 veils are. In addition, when they said I could pick out any veil in that room to use for my wedding since it was obvious we could not find my veil in that room, I realized later that those veils may have very well been other customer’s veils that were dropped off. So that would leave another bride without a veil. I just want other brides to be aware of Jinny's Bridal and their customer service, because I don't what happened to me, happen to another bride.
