Home Service has sent mailings to consumers offering waterpipe protection and coverage for any work needed up to $3,000/yr. Called Atty General's Office for PA for which they are required to register, #053636. They gave me the information already submitted. They told me they were operating under the two insurance companies from FL and suggested I contact BBB. The offer sounds too good to be true, and many scammers operate from FL. Atty General's Office said Home Service will subcontract out the work, but the subcontractor's are not listed, and have not registered with them. Cost estimates are wide open, as are the quality of work provided by subcontractors. PA address is a PO Box, and fact that they are from Florida is not provided, nor that they are insurance companies, and do not do their own work.
