I recently purchased a Fully-Managed Virtual Private Server (VPS).
When I asked why my mail server was intermittently unresponse, level 3 tech support responded that he didn't know why that would be. This is not an acceptable answer for fully-managed hosting.
After multiple contacts by email and phone, I got their attention. They reported, as I suspected, my VPS was being hosted on an overloaded physical node. They then told me that the node had been stabilized.
Next day I attempted to use the VPS and it was unresponsive. When I finally was able to get to my control panel, it reported a 2-minute load average of over 8, a sure sign that the physical node was badly overloaded.
After repeated contacts, including reporting that it took me 7 minutes (timed) to load cPanel on an idling VPS, I was promised I would speak to a manager within 20 mins. That did not happen. I received an email promising I would speak to a manager within 2 hours by email. That did not happen. I received a further promise that I would speak to a QA team rep and separately another promise I would speak to a manager. That hasn't happened either.
When i inquired about all the specifics for activating my 30-day purchase guarantee, no questions were asked. No attempt to determine my reasons or whether I was unsatisfied were made. I note also that GreenGeeks.com only posts glowingly positive reviews of its service on its site. I would put more faith in all the recent reviews here.
With regret for our tattered relationship, I must review this business as one to be consistently avoided.
