Every night I come home from work at around 5:30pm and im driving down the street and I always see this store. FAMSA with their loud music and colorful advertisements. And you know something, it catches ones attention. It sure caught mine. So one day my computer gives out. Not working. I call the geeks and they tell me its better to buy a new one then to repair. I do. I walk into this store FAMSA and the minute I walk in the door, im greeted and asked if I can be helped. WOW, i thought to myself. Well that's where their customer service begins AND that's where it ends. So they sit you down, approve you for credit, and tell you all about their product and services. I buy a 1800 dollar system. Complete with speakers and all. I come home to set it up and I find that the mouse doesn't work. So I contact them and they ISIST it was me not plugging it in correctly. So I re-check. Looks like the colors match to me. So I dissassemble everything and I call the geeks again. They come out and set everything up for me. Well he turns around to me and tells me, the mouse is not working. I knew it. He tries another mouse from his car and it doesn't work. So they open the computer and determine that it is a hardware problem from within the computer. I called them, and told them, they said that they needed one of their own technicians to look at it. I take it back to the store. I wait 5 WEEKS! No phone call, no update, nothing. I call the store, and their technician said he would call me back. I waited about 2 days. I called back and another technician said, they were still working on the problem, he would call me back in 1 hour for an update. No phone call. Im busy also, I wait another WEEK! No calls. I walk into the store and ask to speak to the manager. The lady sitting on the chair filing her nails, looks at me and tells me "what do you need the manager for, he's busy everyday at this time" I just want my computer or money back. That's it. I leave my number, and I leave. I wait 2 weeks. No calls. I walk in again and I finally see the manager, he walks me to the tech bench and they hand me my computer. Telling me everything is working fine. I go home and plug it in, and I notice the mouse is different. They gave me a USB mouse this time, I plug it in and works! So i get curious, I go out and buy the other type of mouse, the one with the circle and the pins on it, plug it in and it does NOT work. Its a defective computer. Back and forth, back and forth. They do not honor their waranty folks, they DO NOT call you back when they say they will. Its sad really, this is my neighborhood store and I seen it the times we go, if you aren't a customer yet, they treat you with respect, offer you some chips and soda, but that all changes once you're a customer. Once you sign that contract, they just drop the ball. I am not satisified with their customer service. This happened in October 2007, and I barely got a new computer from them in February 21, 2008. And he had the nerve to tell me, "Well you should be happy because you just got a new computer" I was in shock. I will NEVER EVER EVER go back there, and everytime I see people walk in, I just think to myself, oh man I should warn them.
