We reserved a car via priceline for an intermediate vehicle. When we picked up on Sat 27 June 09 we were pushed another car (Challenger). We declined a few times because we did not want a two door or this car. We were told after a number of times declining that there was no charge because the car was in the same class. We took the car and mistakingly initialed where they charged for this upgrade because it was the exact price of the original type car requested thinking it was a relection of the original car rental and the agent saying there was not an extra charge. We then got noticed the double billing on the credit card statement and went to the company and explained. They refused to listen and said there was nothing that they could do. We strongly feel they are using bait and switch tactics, misleading people on rentals and in essence double charging people. Please be aware of what Alamo is doing and avoid if possible. Do not sign anything unless the person telling you something is free puts it in writing.
