Received A Battery That Will Not Charge

I order two replacement batteries for a Model BT-446 nickel metal hydride rechargeable battery. EMTC sent me two generic replacement batteries. One would not charge. I sent them an e-mail asking for a replacement battery. They said they would respond with
24 hours. It has now been about 72 hours -- still no response.
