"We're here to help." - YEAH RIGHT!

Your services had for the most part pleased me, however after my hearing on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 I heard nothing whatsoever from anyone with Disability Group, Inc. On September 23, 2013 I received the results from my hearing which was Unfavorable. I called Disability Group, Inc. on September 25 to see what our next move would be and was told that someone would call me back within 60 days. No one called. One day before 60th day, I frantically tried getting ahold of someone from Disability Group for guidance. I left at least two messages on answering machines I was forwarded to. No one got back to me. As of this writing, still no one has called. I ended up filing the appeal myself. On paperwork Disability Group, Inc. sent me you claim “we’re here to help” and “we will help you file all appeals paperwork to avoid mistakes that can delay process and prevent you from receiving benefits”. Also “not all claims qualify for an Appeals Council Review” and “an attorney writes a brief to the Appeal Council about why the case should be reconsidered”. I was not helped, I was forced due to the 60 days appeals time limit to file an appeal myself. I do not know if my claim qualified or not for the Appeals Council Review because I was not contacted by anyone from Disability Group, Inc. and if an attorney wrote a brief to the Appeals Council about why my case should be considered, this would be news to me and I should have been notified first. I sent a Termination of Services email on November 26, 2013 requesting a confirmation they received the email and got no response. I forwarded the Termination of Services email to them on December 4, 2013 pleading for a confirmation they received my email and still have not gotten any response. I called today to speak to someone to see if they received my emails. I was referred to a number 4242075421 that was disconnected so I called back and was referred to a slightly different number 4242438688 that immediately put me thru to an answering machine. I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for someone to call me back. I doubt that ever happens. **Miraculously a nice woman named Andrea got back to me, she wasn't able to find my email but said she would look in the archives for it and also send me something, hopefully something confirming termination of services so I can be done with Disability Group, Inc.

We at Disability Group, Inc. certainly take the denial of our clients’ benefits seriously. We are sorry to hear that this particular client had a bad experience with our firm. I personally contacted this individual within an hour of receiving her voicemail. As promised, I will look into recovering the email that was sent over to our office to ensure something like this does not happen again. After speaking with this client over the phone, I emailed her the items she requested. I welcome her to contact me via email or phone should she need additional information. It is always helpful to know when our clients have any concerns so that we can address them in the most satisfactory way for our clients.
