but being sick and in an out of the hospital, I just kept praying that they were doing what should have been done. they lied to me and told me that they had requested that i would be approved with out going to court. noway this was done because they didn't have my records.
august 7 was my hearing date. i was told that a lawyer would be in-contact with me with in 24 to 48 hours before my hearing. this didn't happen on august 6th I call around 2 pm their time. and was to there was plenty of time. no problem..then i spoke with Roxanne and she to me that they had not gotten any of my records for my last 2 hospital stays. even though i called them each time i went in and when i was released. i was told they would get the records at that time. it didn't happen. i had asked for a copy of my records earlier, and received a blank disk. then i requested them to email them to me. after i finally got the files opened, they had no records at all in there for 2012. SO I GO TO MY HEARING. A LAWYER SPOKE WITH ME FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES BEFORE THE HEARING.. THE LAWYER ASKED THE JUDGE TO HOLD THE CASE OPEN FOR 30 DAYS FOR DG TO GET MY RECORDS TO HIM. OH PLEASE I WANT THIS TO BE OVER. SO TODAY 08/23/2012 I CALLED DG, THEY STILL HAVEN'T DONE A DARN THING THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO DO. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO ROXANNE BECAUSE SHE WAS THE ONE WHO ASKED ME TO GET MY HOSPITAL 'S PHONE FAX AND ADDRESS. AND SHE WAS GOING TO GET RIGHT ON IT. WHAT A JOKE. THERE IS 11 DAYS UNTIL MY CASE IS CLOSED. 11 DAYS TO GET MY RECORDS AN TURN THEM OVER TO SSD. WE WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS. I WAS TOLD SOMEONE WOULD BE IN TOUCH WITH ME SOMETIME NEXT WEEK. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR, AND TO MY SURPRISE SHE OR HE WAS IN A MEETING. IF THEY COME THROUGH AT THE FINISH LINE I WILL LET YOU KNOW. I AM NOT HAPPY AT ALL.

We understand the stress our clients are under and the frustration of going through a process as long and drawn out as this one. Our goal is to get our clients awarded as quickly as possible. It is the best thing for them, it is better for us, and makes the overall process more efficient. In certain cases, such as this one, we submit documentation to the judge and ask for a decision to be entered on the record without a hearing. We only wish all such requests would be granted, but unfortunately, in this instance, the request was denied. We have been in communication with the claimant and are working with her and SSA to expedite a decision from the judge.
