Reserved rental car on their on-line. Great rate. Showed up to rent the car and a sign was posed at the entry advising their computer systems was down and everyone had to pay cash. No advance notice. The trade off was they would give a 5% discount for the inconvenience.
They asked for the declaration page of my car insurance policy. I didn't have it. They said it was necessary or I had to by additional insurance. I told them I was not advised of this. They said it was on their website site. The requirement was not on the confirmation page for the rental, or any where else immediately visible. Nor was the notice of paying cash at time of rental.
Stay away from thews guys. Something is very wrong. It seems they want not you to know to bring your insurance coverage page, so they can hit you up for addition insurance you don't need. And Cash!! At time of rental. The computer systems is down? What happened to telephone approvals from credit card companies?
