I am a gay man of color and was having a terrible time getting financing for my first-time home purchase because my domestic life-companion is undocumented; therefore most regular banks and brokers I applied through refused to consider his income. Let me tell you: Anita, Diana and Benji were truly creative in finding a solution to my problem. They helped Gaetan obtain something called an ITIN from the IRS which enabled him to report his income. The whole process took a few months, and I must confess that I was becoming a bit impatient, but we are SO HAPPY to be living together in a quaint little cottage in Leucadia, less than a mile from the shore. As we build equity in our little nest, I hope to some day return to CLC Mortgage to re-finance our loan or maybe obtain a HELOC. Also, CLC's staff is fluent in Spanish and Italian, which was a blessing for us.
